VERB & ADVERB

This time i will explain verb and adverb guys.. okay, let's study slowly...π
What is Verb ??
Verb are words that show an action, occurance or state of being. Almost every sentence requires a verb. The form of a verb is known as its infinitve. The forms call, love, break, and go are all infinitives.
The types of the verb :
1. Main verb
Main verb is the head of a verb phrase in a sentence or a clause.
E.g :
- Prilly is going to the mall
- Alliando has created a poem
2. Auxilliary verb
Auxilliary verb is a verb for helping a main verb and cannot stand alone.
- Primary auxilliary verb : to be, do, have, etc.
- Modality : may, can, should, etc.
- Emphasize : do, does.
3. Linking verb
Linking verb connect the subject with the word that gives information about the subject. (smell, taste, look, seems, etc).
e.g : Rahma seems beauty than her sister
4. Transitive verb
Transitive veb is a verb that need an object.
e.g : Dani reads comic every night
5. Intransitive verb
Is a verb that doesn't need an object in a sentence or clause.
e.g : Desi swims every holiday
6. Regular & Irregular
- regular : talk-talked-talked
- irregular : sleep-slept-sept
7. Finite
Is a verb that shows the influenceof tenses, person or tumber in a sentence or clause.
e.g : Sehun has been sleeping for an hour.
8. Non-finite
Is a verb that does not show the influences of tenses, person, and number in sentence/clause.
e.g : Ariana wants to make a cake with her friend.

Function of Adverb :
1. Adverb that explains verb
Ex: he always speaks with his friends
2. Adverb that explains adjective
Ex: the book is very expensive
3. Adverb that explains adverb
Ex: she walks quite slowly
Types and example of adverb
1. Adverb of Time
Example of adverbs that tell when an action occurred, or its time. (now, today, etc.)
E.g: Now (The movie is starting now)
2. Adverb of place & Direction
Some adverbs tell the location of an action, or where it occurred. (here, outside, there, etc.)
E.g: Outside (The children love to play outside)
3. Adverb of Manner
Can describe how something wa done or the manner in which it was done. (automatically, briskly, cheerfully)
E.g: Automatically (My computer shuts down automatically)
4. Adverb of degree
Adverb can describe to what extent something was done or an action was executed (almost, also, absolutely, etc)
E.g: almost (i amost stopped at restaurant for lunch)
5. Adverb of modality or certainly
To state the level of confidence. (likely, maybe, probably, etc)
E.g: Maybe (maybe he will come later)
6. adverb of frequency
To state how often an activity or event is done happened. (always, often, reraly,etc.)
E.g: often (They often wear flat shoes)
7. Adverb of purpose
To answer the "why" question.
E.g: he came to fix my broken chair
8. focusing adverb
To show that what is being discussed is limited to the focused part. (also, just, only)
E.g: Only (only you in my heart).
